The Story Behind TowelTee
TowelTee started with a sweaty moment during a ToughMudder training run. Our founder was watching his friend Tom, a larger-than-life guy with an even bigger heart, wipe his face with his soaked shirt. It was funny, but also a little gross. Later that day, he searched for a shirt with a built-in towel. There was nothing out there that was both functional and good-looking. So he decided to make one.

From an Awkward Idea to a Smarter Shirt
Most of us have wiped sweat with our shirts when a towel isn’t around. That’s where TowelTee came from. The first prototype? A bathroom towel sewn onto a long sleeve tee. It was rough, but it worked. After more testing in the gym, on the job, and while playing sports, new zones were added to match how people actually wipe sweat. Once you start noticing it, you can’t unsee it. And if you’ve done it, we get it. So have we.

Built to Work. Designed to Wear.
Once the shirt worked, it had to look good. A shirt that functions well still needs to be something you want to wear. Early designs looked like towels were thrown on at random. That had to change. After dozens of revisions, we landed on a clean, moisture-wicking Dri-Fit fabric with stitched-in microfiber towel zones and layout details that made it all feel seamless.

TowelTee isn't just a shirt.
It's for anyone who trains, works, or moves through the day and needs a better way to deal with sweat.
